LSNA Restoration & Bird-Banding Tour - July 26, 2026
A total of 22 participants joined staff and OPRD Ranger Brandielle Gibson at LSNA’s North Unit to see the incredible progress of the Phase 5 restoration site and learn how the restoration projects help jump-start natural plant succession. We also paid a visit to the USGS bird-banding research station, where Josée Rousseau and Joan Hagar talked about the methods they use and why their research is important, all while giving participants a close-up view of some of LSNA’s local birdlife - including a northern flicker, Swainson’s thrush, Wilson’s warbler and warbling vireo.
